ABOUT ME

By now... you probably know my name is

Richard Manning !

I am an actor, as well as a fun, charismatic, and ambitious individual!

I always look to make others smile, to snag that laugh out of somebody! With acting, I always aim to make the audience feel something.

Let's Dig Deeper

I started acting in 2013, when I just finished 5th grade, performing as Doody in Howell PAL Theater Company's production of 'Grease'!

It was the first time I ever stepped foot on stage, and sang in front of over 200 people! In that moment, I KNEW this was what I wanted to do! So I kept going. Each summer that came, I spent it rehearsing for a new show, each school show, I'd be auditioning. My life was filled around Musical Theatre specifically.

When I was 15 years old, I was accepted into Howell High School's Fine Performing Arts Center (FPAC) where each year, 25 students would be selected for the each section of the program. I was part of the actors! Here, I would study Stage Combat, Acting, Vocal, Dance, and Theatre History with amazing teachers such as: Stephen Kazakoff, Amy Myers, Lisa Twamley, Melanie Kramer, and Regina McAllen!

During 2 years of that time, I lost my Nan, who was like a mother to me, while my parents were working to support our family, all while my mother would lose her job due to being diagnosed with thyroid diseases such as Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, an autoimmune disease that would would cause her antibodies to attack her cells, causing extreme muscle weakness and more,

leaving her considered permanently disabled. This would cause us to lose a lot of income, and have to move, which resulted in my having to leave FPAC, and my home, to move elsewhere. THANKFULLY, FPAC's director was so fond of me, he got in contact with OCVTS: Performing Arts Academy, where I could continue my acting studies and really hone in on it, where I'd learn Film work, behind the scenes work such as Stage Managing, Film History, and many more On Screen, and On Stage acting studies! I was blessed to have gotten to graduate at Performing Arts Academy with a High School Diploma in 2020!

I'm currently in college at Ocean County College, however I took a step back from it to put all my time and focus into what I LOVE. My incredible family have been so supportive of this journey I've set foot on. I'm beyond grateful to my mother for teaching me how to be creative, expressive, and keep a level eyed on things in life, my father for teaching me responsibility, how to be a gentleman, and how to view the world with such charismatic kindness, as life should always be lived to be enjoyed, and my sister Tinamarie and her wonderful partner Anthony, who've helped me keep on laughing through the most difficult of times. I'm beyond grateful I was able to perform, and put smiles on people's faces, and make the audience feel moved each performance, and it's my passion to take everything I've learned, and make it into a career!

I'm excited to start my next journey in this business and I cannot wait to see where it takes me!

I've told so many stories already, and I'm always looking to tell more, go bigger, and impact a larger audience than the one before!
